Miseries and Hallelujahs

"God loves a lulluby in a mothers tears in the dead of night, better than a hallelujah sometimes. God loves a drunkards cry, a soilders plea not to let him die, better than a hallelujah sometimes. We pour out our miseries, God just hears a melody, beautiful the mess we are, the honest cries of breaking hearts are better than a halleluhjah. The woman holding on for life, the dying man giving up the fight are better than a hallelujah sometimes. Tears of shame for what's been done, a silence when the words won't come are better than a hallelujah sometimes. We pour out our miseries, God just hears a melody, beautiful the mess we are, the honest cries of breaking hearts are better than a hallelujah."

We went camping this week and the one thing I missed the most was the music. We camped roughly one hour from Randle, (alwasy depends on who's driving!) Anyway... a few people had to drive down to Randle during the camping trip so I tagged along. After we went to Randle and did everything that we had to do, we headed back up and on the way up we listened to music and the words above belong to one of the songs we had listened to. Ever since that ride, these words have been bouncing around in my head. And I knew if I didn't get them out they'd be bouncing endlessly. The words "We pour out our miseries, and God just hears a melody." are the words. God wants to hear our miseries...  we all worry that the prayers we pray aren't what God wants them to be. Just let it go and pray from your heart... whether that means pouring out your miseries or pouring out your hallelujahs, they are all a pleasing sight to the Lord.

Simple Woman's Daybook

I am thinking... it's really hot outside and I miss my horse.
I am thankful... for all the people in my life who are there for me.
From the learning rooms... I have learned that Algebra is just one big thinking game.
In the kitchen... the dishes are on the counters, the floor is not swept, and the trash needs taken out.
I am wearing... a bracelet my mom gave me 4-5 years ago.
I am creating... appsalutely nothing.
I am going... crazy without my friend.
I am wondering... why my dog refuses to listen.
I am reading... my post to make sure all the grammar and spelling is correct.
I am hoping... we have nice weather for the first week in July.
I am looking forward to... the end of summer.
I am hearing... the low hum of the fan above me.
Around the house... Abi is in bed and Lucas, Katie, Larah, and Sam are outside playing.
I am pondering... why God takes people away from us without an explanation.
One of my favorite things... is getting a phone call in the morning from a friend 2,000 miles away.
A few plans for the rest of the week... seeing as though it's Saturday... I have no plans for the rest of the week.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

My future bike.

Just a Little Respect!!!

We went to Packwood today to go visit the Flea Market... Mom had taken the kids to the park after we had walked through everything and by the time we got done both her and I were thirsty so she sent me to go find something to drink. So I was walking down the main street in Packwood and this Law Enforcement truck was driving down the road, and this group of guys started booing and yelling at this cop. I'll tell you one thing, that bothered me more than I would ever have imagined, I'm still hot!!! I don't see how someone could have such disrespect toward someone who spends long hours, everyday away from their family trying to protect the people of their community!!!! I honestly don't get it!!! And I don't want to sound like some naggy whatever that doesn't know anything, and I think that's probably how I'm starting to sound, but seriously, I can't even begin to imagine what those cops have to go through everyday, nonstop!!! And then after a long day to hear someone yelling at you and booing you, it just doesn't seem right!!! Forget the "seem", it's "not" right!!! And sure, they'll give you a ticket, and sometimes you'll get that one cop that is completely self centered, but usually it's just an officer doing his duty to keep people safe! So... I'm not saying you have to have tons of respect but please, have a little. I give my thanks and respect to all those who risk their lives every day!!! Ok.... I've said all I have to say, and if you want to get anything out of this... have a little respect and don't "boo" cops while I'm around!!!

Simply Listening

I was laying in my bed two nights ago and I thought to myself, "I haven't been praying daily" So, trying to pray I shortly found my brain being all jumbled together and I couldn't think a clear thought to save my life, and so I was wondering how or what I should pray to just explain everything I was feeling to God and while in the middle of trying to do this I was listening to a cd and it was on shuffle, so this song came on, and every word in that song said exactly how I was feeling! It was just an "ah ha" moment, kinda like the light bulb just turned on. So, the song passed and I meant to blog yesterday about the whole thing but I never got the chance to do it, so I just dropped it and didn't really worry about writing anything about it... and then I turned that same cd on last night still on shuffle and the song I heard the night before was the first song that played and those words were still the words on my heart... I think when God puts something on our heart we need to say it and if we shy away he just gives us another opportunity to share what we're feeling. "If you listen you will hear, if you plug your ears and go, "lalalalalala" you're never going to hear anything!!!"

Eggs for Easter

Ok, I've been thinking and people are a lot like eggs. If you take an egg from its mother hen and put it in a cold dark place the egg dies, it gives up any life it ever had. Now if you were to hard boil an egg taken from the hen to paint it and to decorate it... you're really only painting the shell, not the egg itself. So, get this straight, have you ever decorated an egg for Easter? If so you'll know that you can't leave the egg out of the fridge after you paint it, right? If you leave the egg out it will be ruined, it will go bad and spoil, but go back to the painted idea. After you're all done painting your egg, if you take an egg out of the fridge that you haven't painted and put it next to the one you did paint and you were asked the question, "Which egg is prettier?" Which egg are you going to choose? We all know you're going to choose the painted one, no doubt! But... if you peel the shells off of each egg they're really not that much different on the inside. You might have a little different coloration in the yoke but that's not 'cause the paint on the one egg. "Difference isn't a bad thing as long as you keep the right perspective." Alright so, it's just the outer layer of the egg that's beautiful... the inside is ugly and plain. So, we've looked at the dead egg, the one that has been ripped away from its mother, the mother who's there to protect the egg and care for it. Now, let's talk about the egg left under a broody hen. Alright, so if you have a faithful hen, the hen will do anything to help that little egg mature, right? So if you watch and study the changes of the egg through the weeks of maturing, it starts as an ugly, ugly yoke inside of this ugly shell! But if you give the egg time and if the hen helps it along, gives it warmth, and the space it needs to grow, you're going to turn out with a really cute chick. Now, we need to go back to the egg, I'm not done with that yet! When the egg's done maturing it slowly but surely breaks through the outer shell. (We've hatched chicks before and it was the first time we'd ever done it and we watched and watched and watched it slowly hatch, let me just tell you this... it takes a long time for a chick to hatch out of its shell.) But... if you give it time to come out of its shell to break free from its little "so called prison" and it hatches completely, sometimes part of the egg will be stuck to the chick at first but if you watch... either it will fall off or the mama hen will peck it off and then she tucks the chick under her wing to give it warmth. Now, please don't take this story just for the sake of hearing about eggs, but apply the eggs to your life, "Some people are just hard boiled and they're dead inside but decorated on the outside, they look pretty to the rest of the world but if you peel the shell back they're empty, ugly, and dead." Now... take the egg that had time to grow and a mother hen to look after it... "If you give people time to grow and if you help them along, encourage them, give them warmth when needed, and sometimes give the person enough space to breath and to figure out what they must do next to break out of there 'shell' figuratively speaking." So... take this story in the way it's meant to be told. Please, understand sometimes you need to be the little egg trying to do everything in its power to break free from its shell and sometimes you need to be the mama hen helping someone along with all they're going through. Please, oh please don't be one of the hard boiled people!!! The hard boiled people either get thrown out because they've gone bad or they get eaten up by the world and all the sin surrounding the world. When you're the little egg you have someone watching over you to help you mature into what you need to become, most of the time this someone is God, the one who created you in the first place, the one who gave you life and a hope!!!

....More Stories.....

Ok, I have a few stories about my pup.

#1 I was sleeping with my puppy in my bed and I have it set up as a couch against the wall so it's like a little shoe box. Well, as some of you know I don't wake up easy. My dog learned that I don't wake up easy so she decided that she wanted to bite my back to get me up. lol. To tell the truth it took quite a few bites to actually get me up.
#2 My brother and I are addicted to this show called Prison Break. So one night we were watching this show when four men ran across the screen....my dog was off my lap and trying to get in her kennel which was locked.
#3 Last night we were watching Num3ers and there was a gun fight. She didn't run off my lap and head toward her kennel but she kept cocking her head back and forth. She couldn't figure it out. Oh man was it funny to watch.

Sad to say that's all the stories I can think of right now.

To be continued.....

The Waiting that Paid Off

On April 2, 2010 I did a post about my dream pet, do any of you remember that? Well my dream pet was a Brittany Spaniel. Now it's June 27, 2011. Next month on the 26th I will be driving up to Tacoma, WA with my mom to pick up my Brittany Spaniel puppy. After 1 1/2 to 2 years of waiting and saving for the right dog, I'm finally here. I have a deposit down on a female liver colored Brittany Spaniel. I am way too excited. I'm sure I'll be telling quite a few more stories about my puppy in the next few months.

At a "Loss for Words"

I am at "loss for words". I don't really know what to write, so I'll just write as I think about stuff. Um.... right now our house is trashed, a good sign that mom hasn't been home for a while, hehe. It's wet and cold outside. We heard lightning and saw thunder last night, oh wait... heard thunder and saw lightning. It was awesome, me and my mom were in the car when the lightning did whatever it is lightning does and we went nuts."Out of excitement" that is. It was pouring down rain, not just rain but "rain" The fun kind of rain. The kind of rain you have to turn your radio up real loud if you want to hear anything. The kind that bounces off the road an inch or two! Now the rain's back to normal, messy, cold, no fun rain. :( Yesterday, I was sleeping peacefully outside on an old air mattress that was half way full of air, so you just sunk in, all asleep dreaming cozily when Katie comes up and jumps on it. Woke me up out of a dream, how irritating. Ummmm... Sam got his hair cut. No, wait, he got more than one cut, he got 'em all cut, really short! Wowsers! I hope it grows back fast! I'm still at a "loss for words", guess I'll be done blogging for now and go do something else.

My Future Puppy!!!

It has been forever since I wrote on my blog, I am sorry! Well, let's get on with the story! For about a year I've been hoping and saving for a Brittany Spaniel puppy. I have had lots of heart break, getting my hopes too high to get a puppy and it didn't work out. :( I am in contact with a breeder in Tacoma, WA. They are asking $300 for a deposit and $600 in all. This is the cheapest dog I've found from a breeder! I have learned the hard way to stick with breeders not just any person. So, these puppies are due to be born on May 24 and they are going to be ready to leave about mid-July. I am asking prayer that this might be the one puppy I've been waiting for. I hope to be writing on my blog more often, now that schools back in and I started blogging again. I forgot how fun it is to write. :)

Snow, Snow, Snow!!!

The last few days has been snow, snow, snow. Welcome to Randle, you'll never know what the weather's gonna be like. I went and measured the snow and it's about 6 in deep, and still
coming down. My whole family has the cough and cold from a week ago and can't play in the snow.Tears I'm depressed. I'm hoping my mom will let me at least go on one horse ride. Horse 1 I really don't do good if I'm stuck inside for a long amount of time. I do have a question for you, if you have already had your cold can you get it again the day after you get rid of it? Well that's my post of the month. It's been 3 months since I've blogged, wow! Have a nice cold day inside!

Some of My Favorite Bible Verses

I have started reading the bible every night; I read one book at a time and I read one chapter of the book each night. Example: If I were to read Luke it would take me 24 days since there are 24 chapters in the book of Luke. So anyway, here are some verses from...
Galatians.
1:10
For am I now seeking the approval of man, of of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
4:9
But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?
4:16
Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?
5:14-15
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.
5:17
For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
5:19-23
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control; against such things there is no law.
6:1
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spitit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you be tempted.
6:7-8
For whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirti reap etermal life.
6:14
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crusified to me, and I to the world.
I hope it helps you as it did me.

Tons of Tiny Stories (actually only seven)

Today my father, Lucas, and Matthew drove out of the driveway at 4:07 a.m. for Arkansas, Early huh? They are coming home on Saturday, probably late. Mom, Katie, Larah, Sam, Abbie, and I are left alone to fend for ourselves. Our awesome neighbors aren't even home.

My brother moved out on the 19 of September, Sad :( I got my own room. It worked out perfect. Before my brother moved out, Matthew and Justin were in one room. Sam and Lucas were in another and Katie, Larah, and I were a room. Of course, Mom, Dad and Abbie were in a room. When Justin moved out that all changed to my benefit. Larah and Katie have the room I shared with them. Lucas and Sam moved into Matthew's room and I moved into Lucas and Sam's room. Mom, Abbie, and Dad stayed in their boring old room. When Abbie is old enough she will move in with my two sisters.

Saturday my friends Steve Hargrove and Lisa Herman got married. Yippe. It was a good wedding. Lots and lots of people were there. That is the most people I think I have ever seen in our church building.

I had my first piano lesson of fall. It was good and hard. I now have to, no.........GET to, practice every day except Sunday and Saturday. It will be good, fun, and hard. I am in a second grade book, that is all technique, no fun. Then I do have a few books that are fun. After I get through the second grade book I get to go on to fun, fun, fun, fun, fun stuff.

My brother Sam turned eighteen months yesterday. He is too cute. Sometimes I can't even stop looking at him. We looked at baby pictures of my dad when he was around that age and he looks exactly like Sam. It is amazing how much they look alike. Sam has this thing where he will call mama, mama, mama, mama, mama until she'll answer him. He's funny.

I started school today. I have quite a few subjects. I have Math, Typing, Reading, Science, History, Geography, Spelling, and Piano.

Well my time is up so I must go and get ready to go to downtown Randle. We are going to party!

My Dream Pet

Grown dog

Pups

pups

I want a dog very very bad. I have wanted a dog for a month or two. I got a book from the library in Randle. It has all different types of dogs in it. I also got a puppy training book. Oh, I don't want a dog I want a puppy, I should make that clear. I want a Brittany Spaniel. They are amazing dogs. Here are a few things about them. They are intelligent, easy to handle, gentle , loving, they need a daily walk, they live 10 to 12 years, they are 17-20 in. tall, and they weigh 30-40 lbs. The only thing wrong with it is that it is prone to hip dysplasia seizures. Don't ask me what that is. I will have to look it up on line later. The Brittany Spaniel is so----- cute.

Just a few Random Sentences

I sold all of my fish and the tank. I sold the tank for $30 and the fish for about $2 altogether. I was going to save up for a dog. But my parents thought that it is not the best idea right now. Not until we get a bigger house, a fence or more property. So now I am saving up for a parakeet. I just hope I can get one. I have not talked to my papa yet. I would want a purple or blue & gray parakeet.

My horse almost jumped a 2 feet jump yesterday. She knocked 1 side of the jump down with her back feet. She got me excited. I am going to try to get my school done before 2:30pm. so that Lucas and I can go outside and ride horses until dark. Hopefully I can get her to jump without knocking down anything.

We ate French toast and milk for breakfast. It was a good breakfast. I do not know what we are having for lunch. I want meat.

We adopted a male kitten about a month ago. He showed up one day, we fed him and he has not left. He is a cream colored cat. We named him Tommy. If we keep him we need to get him fixed. He is so playful. I think he tries to rule our other two female cats. Yesterday evening I was getting ready to come in from outside. When I was headed to the porch I heard a cat fight on the porch. Just seconds later one of our female cats ran from the porch then came Tommy just kind of running like kittens do. He looked happy. They were very funny.

I have seven subjects. They are Math, Geography/Science/History, Spelling, Typing, Reading, Easy Grammar and Piano. I have quite a few. I like most of them. Most of the time they are fun.
